Dr. Mohammad Muslim

Introduction

Dr. Muhammad Muslim FCPS Psychiatry, CHPE (Medical Education) -Associate Professor and Chairman Department of Psychiatry MTI Mardan Medical Complex/ Bacha Khan Medical College Mardan.

Educational Background: Dr. Muhammad Muslim is a highly qualified Psychiatrist with a robust academic foundation. He did his matriculation (1997) and FSC (1999) from Cadet College Kohat. Later on he obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Ayub Medical College Abbotabad in 2005. He did his House job in general medicine and general surgery from Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar in 2006/2007. He did his Post graduation in Psychiatry from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Islamabad (2008- 2012). He passed FCPS in Psychiatry in 2013. He started working as Assistant Professor in Psychiatry in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Islamabad. And later on, shifted to Pak International Medical College Peshawar in the same status. From 2016 onwards he is working as Associate Professor of Psychiatry in Bacha Khan Medical College, Mardan Medical Complex Mardan.

Dr. Muslim is currently an active member as Master trainer of MHPSS program (Mental health and psychosocial support Program).

Dr. Muslim is chairman of Hospital Ethics Committee and also a member of District Medical Board for assessment of mentally ails patients. He is also working as visiting Psychiatrist to Central Prison Mardan.

Dr. Muslim has various research publications in national and international journals. His most of research publications revolve around association of different psychiatric disorders with reproductive medicine including OBS and Gynae.

Dr. Muslim areas of interest include Depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, Obsessive Compulsive disorder, Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance abuse disorder, personality disorder, childhood psychiatry, Alzheimer disease.
